Transportation Design Clay Model

We started to carve out clay model!!!

so exciting :)

The model we are making are 1/5 scale half model, mirror will be placed in the center to show the other side

on the other side will be the interior of the vehicle, will also be mirrored.

putting clay on to the car base on sections
and use section to make sure people and component can fit in the car

making of wire model

this is a time lapse video of the making of wire model of my vehicle design

doing wire model is like drawing in three dimensional space

you can fine tune and tweak the the form due to the nature of the wire

however it is an extremely time consuming process...

the real world time for this video is from 9pm to 6am...so about nine hours...

but its not done yet!!?

 I'm going back to studio later today after sun comes up....Orz

the color is quite crazy, but it looks kinda fun XDD

就像再捏黏土的感覺~很容易上手

上面那個奇怪的東西應該沒花到十分鐘吧...但已經有大概的樣子了

Transportation design final presentation

YAY~it finally over!!

I had final presentation of my studio class today

it's call transportation design

common sense would think about cars and airplane kind of things

but for us, the result of the first semester's work is an abstract vehicle

develop the design from abstract 3d sketches

hopefully I will be able to have several post later on that explain the process of our work :)

Solid works

yay~finally got solidworks on my own computer X3!!!

just try to rendered another picture of my bike on this computer

yay~ I finished my bike today~

its for Solidworks (3D modeling) class

It took so much time....I spent my whole day just working on the seat, pedal, and crank set

If I know this better, it probably won't take that long... but I guess thats why we are taking classes right~

for this bike project, I wanted to make something that looks weird but still more or less a conventional bike

what do you guys think about it?

燈罩設計2 (續集)

今天去把新的燈拿去拍照了~=w=

不過我覺得上次那個紙燈拍起來比較漂亮...=3=|||

上次的那個燈本來是想做wall light

不過老師建議把他變成桌燈

所以我就多做了個base

我先做的是白色的那個塑膠燈~

後來人家一直慫恿我用金屬做...所以做了第二個鋁燈

不過我金屬燈的base做的不好....take over the form of the light....=3=

然後因為已經有一個了...所以懶得在去改...而且還有好多其他作業...Orz

大概就是這樣子~看看吧

今天去拍了一堆照片回來~XD
因為一個post只能貼四張圖, 所以更多圖片請到我picasa相簿去看~
這個是用紙做的
回答nita上個post裡的問題:
這是只有40瓦的省電燈泡, 所以到最熱的時候也到不了燃點~

另外要說一下...因為我們的重點是form跟lighting
所以不考慮function...(老師說的)
(我會這樣說是因為我這個燈整個超佔空間的= =)

因為第一個我還沒拍照....Orz
看我照片裡桌子比上個學期亂太多了... = =
我得找個時間拍一些上一個燈的照片...
這個只是個sketch...因為成品要用mix media而且這個做的有點小...(因為我是用上次不成功的燈的parts來做的...)
(摩亞:這就叫做借屍還魂嗎!?)
我是還滿喜歡的..但是不知道有沒有符合老師的要求

亂七八糟的書桌

手機座DIY

話說今天心血來潮想要多浪費一點時間..
所以拿起了手邊多出來的紙做了一個手機作

材料: 4x5" bristol board 紙卡, 10x1" bristol board 紙條, 三段透明膠帶
工具: 美工刀, 尺, 手

以下有照片為證=w=~

這東西的主結構是那張卡片
形成一個三角形狀
但是如果手機直接放在那裡會有滑下來的情況
而且光那一小個紙片支撐不住手機重量
所以用紙條折出來的support不但可以固定祝手機,也可以增強上半部的支撐力
因為手機自己的重量會將紙條往下壓, 也因為如此, 紙條就能把手機上半部往上撐起來了~XD!!

上次那個的proportion還是太多相同
所以又要重做...orz
中午去買了foamcord(不知道有沒有拼錯...反正發音很像..)
本來要再做一個一樣的,然後改變他們的粗細長短大小

可是弄得很慢...老師叫我乾脆直接重新做一個以一中一塊大的plane當基礎的
然後就加加加...雖然沒有上次的那麼複雜...看起來還可以拉X3
至少老師叫我不要在做下去了..(看不下去了嗎..orz)

我想要跟我一樣高的東西也用一樣的材料
可是A同學建議我用有顏色的塑膠看起來會很酷~
讓我有點動心=w=+...可是塑膠好像有點難做也...orz...可是想像中做好會很漂亮的說..

我放在窗台上拍的~這種剪影的效果還滿有fu~的 0w0~!!

這次不是quick sketch了...這次是認真一點的在做=3=
做做做...剛做好...現在一點半了...(當然不是下午..)
這個form相對複雜些
但是我覺得好像還缺少了什麼...
我看到suitemate暑期課做的照片...我的設計整個就廢掉...
唉....希望老師會喜歡這個tower...orz
